Amphetamine use and its associations with antiretroviral adherence and viral load among sexual minority men and transgender women living with HIV has just been published in AIDS Care!
The study examined the associations between several substances and HIV viral load. Ultimately, the study found antiretroviral adherence (ART) and HIV care self-efficacy were consistently associated with greater HIV suppression. Also, cannabis was negatively associated with ART adherence but not viral load.
