“Interpersonal Victimization, Substance Use, and Mental Health Among Sexual and Gender Minority Youth: The Role of Self-concept Factors” has been published in the Journal of Interpersonal Violence!
The study explored mastery, control, and self-esteem as mediators of interpersonal victimization and health among sexual and gender minority (SGM) youth. These self-concept factors were found to partially explain the relationship between interpersonal victimization and mental health, but not between interpersonal victimization and substance use.
